We are pleased to welcome Deborah Smiley, JD, CFP®, AEP®, to our North/West Community Board. Deborah brings with her 30+ years of knowledge and experience in trust and estate planning, business succession, probate, and tax planning, making her a valuable addition to the board and the communities we serve!
Throughout her career, Deborah has dedicated herself to helping families and business owners prepare for the future. Inspiring clients to plan for the inevitable has long been the foundation of her practice, and her thoughtful, client-centered approach has earned the trust of individuals and businesses.
Prior to attending law school, Deborah spent 11 years in trust company wealth management, where she earned her Certified Financial Planner™ designation. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and went on to earn the prestigious Accredited Estate Planner® designation, a graduate-level estate planning specialization awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Deborah is deeply involved in the legal and philanthropic communities. She is a member of The Missouri Bar, previously served as Chair of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis Probate & Trust Committee, and currently serves on the Cardinal Glennon Hospital Planned Giving Council.
