CNB St. Louis Bank is seeking a Banking Center Manager for our St. Peters location. The Banking Center Manager oversees all operations at their branch, including working with customers to find the best solutions for their issues, creating strategies for sales success, and maintaining a positive workplace. This position will manage personal bankers at their branch and reports to the Vice President of Retail Banking.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

A Banking Center Manager at CNB:

  • Overall administration of sales and service operations within the banking center.

  • Maintain a portfolio of existing and prospective customers to expand and develop new business relationships.

  • Utilize knowledge and experience in exercising discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems and answering questions.

  • Supervise, train, schedule, and assign work to branch staff.

  • Evaluate job performance and make authoritative recommendations for hiring and salary adjustments when necessary.

  • Discipline and discharge subordinate branch personnel as required.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings.

  • Coordinate the sales effort of the personal banking team to cross-sell products and services, while setting performance standards.

  • Direct supervision of the day-to-day activities of the banking center staff, ensuring operational efficiency, exemplary customer service, and strong financial control of all transactions. Additionally, maintaining proper cash controls at all teller workstations.

  • Demonstrate superior customer service by initiating and improving services and systems to better respond to customer needs. Will work closely with other departments to ensure and evaluate the quality of customer service, products, and services.

  • Participate in sales meetings and assist in developing new and existing products and services.

  • Leads the small business calling effort in the area surrounding their banking center, selling bank depository services and referring lending opportunities to retail and commercial lenders.

  • Managing outside vendor services, including merchant card services and consumer and business credit card sales.

Additional Responsibilities:
  •  Monitor performance standards of personal banking staff and operational efficiency for tellers within balancing standards.
  • Ensure quality customer service at all levels of the banking center.
  • Ensure that the banking center maintains a professional appearance.
  • Banking center complies with compliance regulations, ensuring all disclosures are properly displayed, and all bank personnel are cognizant of BSA/AML and CIP policies.
