CNB St. Louis Bank is looking to grow our Loan Department. As a Loan Service Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in making sure our customers' loan experiences are seamless, straightforward, and stress-free. From processing payments and managing escrow to ensuring compliance and supporting insurance tracking, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes—so our customers can focus on what matters most to them. Your role will directly support that mission, helping families move into their first home, small businesses grow, and long-time customers continue to thrive. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify real estate tax payments on escrow accounts
  • Pay real estate tax bills and insurance premiums 

  • Maintain and reconcile unpaid tax exception reports

  • Prepare accurate and timely loan payoff statement

  • Monitor and follow up on insurance coverage for all loan collateral

  • Work closely with sub-servicers, such as insurance brokers and tax authorities

  • Enter and update customer and loan data 

  • Complete routine maintenance requests on loan accounts

  • Cross-train in all loan servicing functions to support operational flexibility

  • Assist the Loan Manager with departmental functions and special projects as assigned

  • Support initiatives that enhance growth, efficiency, team collaboration, and the overall customer experience

  • Serve as a liaison between the Loan Service Department and other departments, ensuring clear communication and consistent execution of organizational goals
Preferred Skills:
 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to department performance standards

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Sound knowledge of financial institution products and services

Qualifications:
 
  • High School education required
  • Equivalent, related, work experience considered 
  • Additional American Institution of Banking and/or business courses and seminars geared toward additional banking advancement recommended
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience 
  • Experience in banking or professional financial services preferred
  • Broad knowledge of banking, policies, and procedures preferred
