We are proud to share some exciting news about the impact CNB St. Louis Bank is helping make in our communities!

This year marked the first time the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) offered its Member Impact Fund program in Missouri, providing a unique opportunity for member financial institutions like CNB St. Louis Bank to help local nonprofit organizations secure additional funding for their missions. The Member Impact Fund is a matching grant program designed to support organizations focused on affordable housing and community development, with FHLB Des Moines contributing up to $3 for every $1 donated by a participating member institution.

CNB St. Louis Bank proudly nominated three organizations that we know are making a meaningful difference in our communities. We are thrilled to announce that all three organizations were selected and approved for funding, resulting in more than $135,000 in grant support through the partnership between CNB St. Louis Bank and FHLB Des Moines.

Angels' Arms - $40,000 Grant Award

One of the organizations nominated by CNB was Angels' Arms, a nonprofit dedicated to providing stability, housing, and support for foster children and foster families. Through the Member Impact Fund, Angels' Arms was awarded $40,000 on behalf of CNB St. Louis Bank and FHLB Des Moines. This funding will help support Angels' Arms' mission of creating safe, stable homes and brighter futures for children in foster care.

L'Arche creates inclusive communities where adults with and without intellectual disabilities share life together, fostering relationships, belonging, and mutual support. Through the Member Impact Fund, L'Arche St. Louis was awarded $36,000 on behalf of CNB St. Louis Bank and FHLB Des Moines.

This significant investment will help further the organization's efforts to create lasting, positive change in the communities they serve.

A Partnership Creating Greater Impact

The Member Impact Fund was created by FHLB Des Moines to amplify the charitable efforts of its member institutions and increase support for nonprofit organizations working to strengthen communities through affordable housing and community development. Since its launch in 2023, the program has provided more than $106 million in grants across FHLB Des Moines' district.

Because of the program's 3:1 matching structure, CNB's contributions were multiplied, allowing these organizations to receive substantially more funding than would have been possible through a traditional donation alone.

We are incredibly proud to partner with FHLB Des Moines and to help connect vital funding with organizations that are changing lives every day.

These awards represent more than dollars—they represent opportunities, resources, and hope for the people and communities these organizations serve. We cannot wait to see the impact these funds will make and are honored to be a part of this remarkable initiative.
